Dear Parents,
I want to clarify a few things as we roll into our first weekend after our Christmas break. First, the due dates for the "State Report Project," ... my apologies for the Sunday, due dates!! I know this caused some confusion and they have been corrected (below). Also, the note cards will now be due with the power point presentations, so the students can practice using the cards along with their presentation (more info below).
Students turned in the typed rough drafts on the Dec. 15 before the break. As I read through the report essays over the break, I found an overall need for continued writing/grammar instruction specific to this essay style, so that students can better articulate their ideas and information. So, we will continue to work on the drafts in class. After the editing process, they will be sent home for final touches. Thank you for your patience regarding the written portion of the "State Project."
Please feel free to email me if you have any concerns. LennonSJS@me.com
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lennon

Make note-cards... Note cards should be designed to go along with the power point presentation as an aid for speaking to the class. Please practice using the note cards with the presentation. I have amended the due date to correspond with the power point presentation.
