Dear Parents,
The reading logs will be going home weekly (and in the future bi-monthly, once we begin our math problem solving in the opposite weeks).
Students are directed to read for (a minimum) of 15-20 minutes each night and write (a minimum) of 3-5 sentences as a summary of what they read. Students may use the box, the back of the paper, a separate sheet of paper and/or they may type their responses to their reading.
Students are also directed to obtain their parent's signature each night. This is their responsibility. This, like their agendas, is the student's responsibility. In other words, you should not have to "chase them down" to find their reading log. They should bring it to you once they have filled it out and ask for your signature. Please review their work for neatness.
